IPM has brought its wind power plant in Bergama, Türkiye, into operation following the completion of the required permitting, infrastructure and commissioning processes.
The plant generates renewable electricity equivalent to the total electricity consumption of IPM's mining and processing operations in Türkiye. Electricity is supplied to the national grid, while generation and operational consumption are monitored together.
The investment represents an important step in IPM's long-term sustainability programme, supporting lower-carbon production, greater energy resilience and the wider transition towards renewable electricity in industrial operations.
