Port & Loading

We deliver our products to global markets through a range of ports and loading options tailored to our customers’ needs.

We handle large bulk and big bag shipments through the Port of Dikili, in which we hold a share and participate directly in management. For container shipments, we use the Port of İzmir Alsancak and the Nemport and TCEEGE terminals in Aliağa’s Nemrut Bay.

This logistics network allows us to plan shipment volumes, packaging and loading methods according to customer requirements and destination. We offer flexible supply options, including full or part vessel loads, big bags in containers and other loading arrangements agreed with our customers.

Port of Dikili

We ship our perlite products from the Port of Dikili aboard bulk carriers, either in bulk or packed in big bags.

The port’s pier is 132 meters long and 15 meters wide. Water depth alongside the pier ranges from 9 to 11 meters. The port can accommodate vessels of up to approximately 25,000 DWT.

Loading and unloading operations use three tracked material handlers from the Sennebogen 875 and 825 model ranges. Depending on the cargo type, handling capacity ranges from 500 to 800 tonnes per hour.

The port operator has 31,500 square meters of covered warehouse and bonded storage space, along with 22,500 square meters of open storage area, approximately 4 kilometers from the port.

Unpackaged Bulk Loading

We transport raw perlite ore directly from our mining sites to the Port of Dikili, where shore handling equipment transfers it from trucks into vessel holds. Depending on vessel specifications, the loading plan and operating conditions, we can load approximately 2,000 to 4,000 tonnes of bulk ore per day.

Graded, unexpanded perlite from our ore processing facilities arrives at the quay in big bags, which are emptied into vessel holds for shipment in bulk. This method protects the products during road transport while allowing them to be shipped without packaging. Depending on operating conditions, we achieve loading rates of approximately 1,500 to 2,000 tonnes per day using this method.

Big Bag Loading onto Bulk Carriers

We ship graded, unexpanded perlite from the Port of Dikili aboard bulk carriers in big bags tailored to customer requirements. Filled at our ore processing facilities, each big bag typically contains 1,200 to 1,300 kilograms of product.

We transport the packaged products to the port by road. Shore handling equipment lifts the bags directly from the vehicles and places them in the vessel holds according to the approved stowage plan. The products remain protected within their packaging throughout the sea voyage.

We arrange stowage to maximize cargo space utilization and ensure balanced load distribution. Depending on vessel specifications and operating conditions, we can load approximately 2,000 to 3,000 tonnes of packaged products per day.

Big Bag Loading for Container Vessels

We ship our graded, unexpanded perlite products in containers through the Port of İzmir Alsancak and the Nemport and TCEEGE terminals in Aliağa’s Nemrut Bay.

At our ore processing facilities, we fill big bags with approximately 1,100 to 1,300 kilograms of product each. Depending on customer requirements, we prepare the bags with or without pallets and transport them to the designated terminal for container loading.

We supervise the transfer from vehicles into containers, checking bag condition, stowage and weight distribution. A loading inspection report is prepared for each container to document the operation.

We apply appropriate lashing and securing measures according to cargo characteristics, container type and transport requirements, incorporating customers’ specific loading instructions where applicable. These arrangements help prevent cargo movement and protect packaging integrity during transport.
